Here at RBE, we look back on a long time and our experience in reptile husbandry. We have kept almost everything imaginable. From Chameleons to caimans and Crotalus durissus . For several years we have focused on keeping and breeding the Western hognose snake (Heterodon nasicus) and its color and pattern morphs. We are in contact with reputable breeders of the American hognose scene to maintain the animals as well as possible. One of the leading German vets for reptiles, Dr Frank Mutschmann (EXOMED), looks after our hognoses. We grow our own feeding mice, to provide the snakes with nutrients, vitamins and trace elements they need. All that we do is to keep our collection as healthy as humanly possible so as to enjoy these wonderful animals. It is not coincidence that the longest hognose snake (to our knowlege there isn´t one over 112cm) in the world is in our collection.
